4 years go that quick huh?

With a pretty crazy weekend coming up in Kansas City with our best friends,  The Presidential Candidate race starting to take shape, starting a new company, and keeping up with Brewer I realize I have quite a bit to write and share.  So, I guess I'll dust off the old blog.

I consider myself pretty lucky to have been to some really great beaches in the past.  Some of my favorites are in Florida, Texas ( Padre was a crazy spring break :/ ) The Bahamas, Mexico, Jamaica, and Belize, (wait I was in the ER for that one, damn moped wreck) but there are none that I like more than the ones in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach on the Alabama Coast.  While I was living in Mississippi I completely fell in love with the place!  I can't explain the atmosphere, the culture, the food, really it is just amazing!  With that said, you can imagine my excitement to have my plane tickets and hotel booked for a trip back down there!  Kyle and I are going the first week of June for the big Relph~Gandy wedding.  We are spending 2 days at the beach and the driving up to Waynesboro, MS for the weekend.  Here are the things I am looking forward to the most!!!!!

First of all... I just love laying out, with sunscreen of course!

This is the first stop on our trip, for lunch, after we land in Mobile.
I'm fixin to catch a throwed roll and eat some fried okra and turnip greens :)

This is my favorite breakfast spot! It's right on the water and the food is amazing.  If you get a pancake it is really bigger than your plate. Since Kyle loves breakfast so much I can't wait to take him here.  Sign me up for a Mimosa and some Grits, what a perfect breakfast!!!

And you can't take a trip down there with out visiting the Florabama, as the name suggests, some of the bar is in Florida and some in Alabama.  The live music is great and there is a room full of women's bras hanging from the ceiling.  You've gotta take it off, sign it, and leave it hanging. Oh, in case you are wondering.. no believe it or not I actually haven't left one yet. should've done it last year :)
WARNING!!! while you are at the Florabama, watch out for the steps!!!  I'm pretty sure it was the steps, however it could've been my fabulous brand new pair of heels, or the drinks the crazy old Southern men were buying us... probably a combination, but DO NOT fall down the stairs, this is what happens... (I should post a pic of the scar a year later... it's hot)

During the day hopefully I can leave Kyle on the beach with the cooler for a little while and do some shopping.  This is a picture from Private Gallery.  They have the cutest, trendy, most reasonably priced clothes and accessories!!!  I can't wait!

Another thing you can't live with out if you go to the beach is a Bushwacker.  The first time I ordered one it was one of those "shut up and order one, just trust me, there good" situations.. well turns out they are great.  They are kind of like a frozen white russian / alcoholic milk shake.  Delish!!! And ALWAYS remember to get the extra shot of rum on top!  If you don't need it, you shouldn't be drinking one ;)

i l o v e my weekends

It seems like the older I get the more I love my weekends!  This past one started off great with Kelly's birthday party at the Fox and Hound in Wichita.  Kyle and I loved it. We watched gayU,  I mean KU basketball and spent too much money on drinks which was my fault, the pomtinis were delicious!

Kelly, me, and Carly
Justin and Kyle
Saturday... lets see, Saturday Kyle and I didn't do much except relax!  We ran a few errands and picked up parts for the smoker.  Ahhh the smoker, that is going to be an entirely different post, actually it should be an entirely different blog!  Kyle loves LOVES to cook and smoke meat so he is working on his custom smoker.  All I'm gonna say for now is that I will be sooooo happy when this dang thing is finished :)
Sunday, we started our day out at Tractor Supply Company.  I couldn't convince Kyle to buy me a baby duck, but I did convince him that I HAD to have some pink John Deere gloves! Good thing I did because I wore them all afternoon.  Not only was it cold, but I was playing with the fire and stuff around Puggs' shop while Kyle was welding.  The inside of my new pink gloves are already black :( Good news is the boys got the temperature gage put in and other stuff done so the smoker is ready enough to use! Don't confuse use with done, again that is for another post!
and... the smoker...

just call me a blogger...

I can definately say that I thought I would  n e v e r have a blog, well never say never cause here it is! I'm excited to start posting, among other things you can look forward to: all the crazy and hillarious stuff that goes on in my life, my adventures with Kyle, things I hate and things I love, and my thoughts on politics (which will be very conservative sorry Ali).  But, above all I hope this little blog is really entertaining... it should be I'm pretty funny sometimes.
